Hide and Found
I’ve never wished to be on the spotlight
Since i never am
So i hide, voluntarily
Buried myself within the shadow
And yet as days gone by
The others came around
Wandering hither and tither
Later they found themselves settled
Next to me — to let their tell-tale heart burst
The photograph’s voice popped first
Stories hovering us all
Prideful for collecting memories
On their big days — the humans
And in between ruin
I heard the watch followed
Humans kept it close to the vein
In which it is safe and sound
I see the joy sparks on their eyes
As they boldly tell it all
Every now and then
But not me,
I lost count on how many times I avoid to tell about myself
“Let them just find me”, I shut my mind
I decided to move my spot
Way deeper in the black pit corner
Hiding
Enjoying my solitude
Halfway there,
A form of human approaching
And it stopped —
Right beside me
I could feel the air getting warmer
As my body lifted up close to its face
And when it blew the edge of my core
Dust floating through the air
Did I really hide that long?
